Whaleship Harbor View - Bodega Bay Harbor Views from Three Levels

Wake to harbor seals splashing in Bodega Harbor from this three-level retreat perched above the water. Curl up by either fireplace with fresh crab from Spud Point (0.4 mi) while whales migrate past your windows. Room for 8 with privacy across three floors. Just steps from South Salmon Creek Beach (0.4 mi) and the famous Birds filming locations. The wraparound deck becomes your front-row seat to Sonoma Coast sunsets — where the only soundtrack is harbor bells and sea birds.

Spend mornings watching fishing boats motor out as the harbor wakes, afternoons walking Doran Beach or hunting tide pools at Pinnacle Gulch, and evenings on the deck with fresh crab and a glass of cool-climate Pinot.

A white sectional faces the wood-burning stove on its raised stone hearth, picture windows pulling the harbor into every seat. Granite counters and stainless appliances line the back wall as a galley, with a six-seat dining table by the windows so meals stay anchored to the water view. The lower level is its own self-contained suite — bedroom, full bath, den with a second gas fireplace, and a games-and-work table — built for older kids or a remote-working partner who wants their own corner.

OUTDOOR LIVING
The wraparound deck becomes your outdoor room, composite decking and white railings framing the harbor panorama. Woven furniture includes a dining table for al fresco meals and lounge chairs for afternoon reading. A gas grill stands ready for fresh catch. Views stretch across the water to distant hills.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The entire third floor serves as a loft primary bedroom with a king bed and sitting area overlooking the water. On the main floor, one bedroom has a queen and another has two twins. The lower-level suite adds a queen with its own full bath. Sleeps 8.

The dramatic A-frame architecture means sloped ceilings in the loft bedroom — cozy but worth noting for taller guests.
The wraparound deck offers the best sunset views in Bodega Bay — don't miss the golden hour when the harbor lights up. Bring layers even in summer; coastal fog rolls in most mornings and evenings can be chilly.
