Monte Rio Vista Lodge - Dog-Friendly Russian River View Retreat with Hot Tub

The Russian River glimmers through the trees below your hot tub at this dog-friendly Monte Rio lodge. This dog-friendly cottage perched above the water offers a gas fireplace and room for 4. Just 5 minutes from Guerneville's restaurants and 15 from the Sonoma Coast. Your deck becomes a front-row seat to river life — watch kayakers drift by as eagles soar overhead. This is Monte Rio magic: where time slows down and the river sets the pace.

Spend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings around the firepit with the day's bottles.

A leather sofa pulls in beside the gas fireplace as sliding glass doors open to your private deck. A small desk corner is set up for a stretch of remote work; track lighting and bamboo blinds keep the room warm. Honey-toned cabinets and a French door fridge open the kitchen straight onto the dining area. The downstairs double room sits in a vaulted nook with built-in shelving — a quiet retreat for kids or a second couple.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Your stone patio hosts a hot tub alongside a fire pit table for evenings under the stars. The wooden deck features a gas grill with propane and seating with tropical-print pillows on patterned rugs. From this hillside perch, the Russian River winds through the forested valley below.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The main bedroom offers a queen bed beneath exposed ceiling beams with orange accent chairs. Downstairs, the basement provides a double/full bed in a nook with vaulted ceilings and built-in shelving. Total capacity: 4 guests.
