Compass Rose - Oceanfront estate with private hot tub & courtyard, dogs welcome

Nothing between you and the Pacific but fresh salt air and the sound of the surf. Soak in the hot tub as the sun dips below the Pacific. Bring your pup -- dogs love the bluff trails here. Room for 7 in this 3-bedroom home. Just a 9-minute walk to the heated community pool. Sea Ranch's iconic trails, tidepools, and heated pools are all at your doorstep. The light here shifts by the hour -- silver mornings, gold afternoons, pink-and-orange sunsets.

Indulge in striking indoor and outdoor spaces at this Sea Ranch home, an expansive oceanfront property that offers a private hot tub with breathtaking views, a large courtyard and deck, and direct access to the trails and beaches that make this coastal community so special. Gorgeously situated to face the Pacific Ocean, the rocky cliffs, and the scenic Bluff Trail, this two-level retreat is just one mile south of the Sea Ranch Golf Links. You'll also be less than two miles north of Walk On Beach, three miles north of Shell Beach, and three miles south of Gualala, where you'll find a charming selection of art galleries, restaurants, grocery stores, and shops.

With a spacious floor plan and truly spectacular ocean views, this peaceful home is an ideal escape for your next family holiday or couples' getaway to the Northern California Coast. Your vacation begins in the great room, where exposed beams create a wonderfully rustic atmosphere and solarium-style windows bring the magnificent outdoors in. Turn on the gas fireplace each morning as you read the newspaper on the sofa, or use the telescope to watch for whale spouts on the horizon. The immaculate open kitchen enjoys the same panoramic ocean views and features modern appliances to make meal preparation a pleasure. Lay out appetizers and wine on the kitchen counter, gather for dinner around the dining room table, and leave the post-meal clean-up for the dishwasher. Once the morning fog melts away, you'll find a gas grill in the sheltered outdoor courtyard, as well as a patio table on the deck for al fresco meals with an ocean view. Take a soothing soak in the hot tub at sunset, watching the ocean below for harbor seals, sea lions, and dolphins. Back inside, you'll find a total of three cable TVs, a DVD and Blu-ray player, a VCR, and a selection of VHS movies to watch during cozy evenings in.

Whether you're a hiker or a wildlife enthusiast, Sea Ranch is beloved in Northern California for its quiet beauty and its preserved natural landscapes. Walk less than two miles north to reach Gualala Point Regional Park, one of the best places to spot migrating gray whales from the shore. You'll also be within a short walk of the Sea Ranch Golf Links, where you can play 18 holes with ocean views. December through April is whale season. You may spot gray whales breaching right from the bluff trail nearby. Wildflower season (April-June) transforms the coastal bluffs into a tapestry of color -- worth an extra walk on the trails.
