Vineyard Cottage - Guerneville Dog-Friendly Redwood Retreat with Wood Stove

Step out the door into wine country — this dog-friendly cottage overlooks a picturesque vineyard yet sits a short walk from the Russian River, with Armstrong Redwoods 4.5 miles away. Two queen bedrooms plus a sofa bed sleep 6, and an open-air atrium connects the two buildings under a perfect view of the stars.

Spend mornings with coffee on the private front patio as light filters through the redwoods, afternoons walking down to the Russian River or driving 4.5 miles to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, and evenings stargazing under the open sky after a round at Northwood Golf Club (5.4 mi) or a tasting along the Westside Road wine corridor.

Step through the open-air atrium — essentially a great room with a perfect view of the stars — that links the cottage's two buildings at its center. It's the kind of in-between space that turns a quiet evening into a long conversation.

Settle into the cozy living room on the cool side of the day, where French doors open straight to the courtyard and a decorative telescope angles toward the skylight for stargazing. The vaulted ceiling and bright windows keep the room feeling open even when you're curled up with a book.

Cook a proper dinner in the compact kitchen with everything you need for the day's wine discoveries, then carry plates to the eat-in dining nook with its rustic hutch and views back out to the patio. Lots of light and windows make every corner of the cottage feel bigger than its footprint.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Sink into wicker seating on the terracotta-tiled patio, shaded by a market umbrella over a small dining set for al fresco meals, with redwoods rising overhead.
