Dune Drift - Ocean-view home with hot tub & prime location at Shell Beach

Curl up by the fireplace as fog rolls in off the Pacific. Room for 6 in this 2-bedroom home. Sea Ranch community pools, tennis courts, and the Lodge are nearby. Miles of bluff-top trails and hidden beaches are yours to explore. The rhythm of the waves sets the pace here -- unhurried mornings, lingering sunsets, deep sleep.

Tucked at the edge of a cypress grove with a view of the ocean across the meadow, this inviting home is classic Sea Ranch in every sense. From the cozy interior to the banks of windows, the decks on two sides to the private hot tub, this is a place for relaxing into the wild beauty of the Northern California Coast.

This two-story home boasts an ideal location near the heart of Sea Ranch, right around the corner from the Shell Beach access trail. You'll be next door to One Eyed Jack's picnic area and playground and only a matter of steps from the oceanfront Bluff Trail. When you're not tidepooling or watching the harbor seals play, you'll be within two miles of two of the Sea Ranch rec centers (Del Mar and Ohlson), each with its own heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, and saunas.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by lofty ceilings and a wall of windows that fill the house with sunlight and views. The great room is adorned with natural wood from top to bottom, providing warmth and atmosphere whether you're reading in the window seat or playing board games around the dining room table. Enjoy an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a living area where you can stream movies in the warmth of a wood-burning fireplace.

Take morning hikes on the Bluff Trail, stop by Shell Beach at low tide, and return home in time for a barbecue lunch on the sheltered deck. In the evenings, take in spectacular sunsets from the living room before heading outside to stargaze in the hot tub. In addition to the two bedrooms downstairs, there's a sleeping loft on the second floor that doubles as the perfect home office.

Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.

Keep your eyes on the horizon from December to April -- gray whales migrate just offshore, and this property has a front-row seat. Visit in spring and the meadows explode with wildflowers. April through June is peak bloom season along the Sonoma Coast. The warmest months are June through September. Expect coastal fog most mornings that gives way to sunny afternoons.

Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
