Terra Haven - Monte Rio Redwood Retreat with Riverfront Access

A stone hearth with a wood burning stove anchors this peaceful forest hideaway, where towering redwoods shade every window. Gather around the stone fireplace or grill dinner on the deck while kids play in the enclosed yard — this 2-bedroom cottage sleeps 4 comfortably. Just a 5-minute walk to a community beach with river access and a mile from Lightwave Coffee. Your days here move at redwood pace — slow, grounded, and deeply restorative among these ancient giants.

Spend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings around the fireplace or one of the two decks with the day's bottles.

A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace wall anchors the heart of the home — load up the wood-burning insert and the sectional pulls you in for a fireside evening. Glass doors slide open completely so indoor and outdoor merge; track lighting and skylights in the vaulted ceiling keep the room bright on foggy days. White cabinets trimmed in wood line the kitchen steps away, a skylight above for prep light and yellow bar stools at a small breakfast bar. Beyond it, orange chairs sit around a dark wood dining table by the deck doors.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Multiple redwood-stained decks expand your living space into the trees. The main deck invites you to linger with built-in seating, a glass-top coffee table, and wooden outdoor furniture. Fire up the stainless steel gas grill for forest dining. A unique curved staircase connects the upper and lower deck levels — pure whimsy among the redwoods. The enclosed yard provides safe play space for children.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The primary bedroom cradles you beneath vaulted wood-plank ceilings, with a queen bed and an orange upholstered chair and ottoman tucked by the window as a reading nook. A decorative dreamcatcher adorns the wall. The second bedroom offers a comfortable double bed under the same wood ceilings that echo the home's cabin character. The cottage sleeps 4 guests.
